Southcoast Raqs Community Belly Dance Show: See you in 2026!
Elizabeth Estrella created Southcoast Raqs in 2024 as a means of highlighting the diversity & talent of our local New England belly dance artists. Inspired by a lack of opportunities for dancers of all backgrounds, abilities, & identities, Elizabeth reached out to many of her fantastic colleagues to create a stage show where all artists are safe & celebrated as they showcase their talents.
Across six shows, Southcoast Raqs has featured sixty-six dancers from MA, RI, CT, ME, VT, FL, Canada, Lebanon, the Dominican Republic, France, Brazil & more! We’ve had the honor & privilege of sharing the stage with professional headliners: Najla, Inara, Sherine Khatoun, Crystos, Elizabeth Estrella, & Angel Bellydance of Orlando. The show is also a celebration of small business & has featured twenty-four local small business vendors so far.
